St. Elizabeth Ann Seton:
the first American saint

Our homeroom saint is Elizabeth Ann Seton.  She is the patron saint of Catholic Schools, and she was the first saint canonized in the U.S.   Some of her most admirable qualities were her dedication to her faith, her kindness to all, and her value in educating the poor.
Her Feast Day is Jan. 4.

Prayer of Elizabeth Ann Seton

O Father, the first rule of our dear Saviour's life
was to do Your Will.
Let His Will of the present moment
be the first rule of our daily life and work,
with no other desire
but for its most full and complete accomplishment.
Help us to follow it faithfully,
so that doing what You wish
we will be pleasing to You.
 Amen.
